Will the cabinets need to be edged with a matching
Will the hinges need to be replaced?
Legend
Doors – Doors can sometimes be thought of as panels on hinges. Sometimes a cabinet’s  doors have a hinge in the middle (corner folding doors) making it two doors (i.e. two panels with hinges).

Drawers – Drawers often come in banks (3 or 4 stacked up). Count each individual drawer front as we replace all drawer fronts. Also count the false fronts that don’t open but
look like drawers. These are common under kitchen sinks.

Panels and Ends – Most ends of cabinets are covered by a wall or another cabinet.
Sometimes, however, the ends are exposed and need to match the color of the doors to make it look seamless. The same is true of peninsulas or islands. Islands have one side that has doors and drawers but also has 3 sides that are exposed and will need to be changed to match. Carefully count those ends that will need to be changed.
If you are using the same color for the doors as previously then you won’t need to change the panels or cabinets ends and can leave the number as zero.

Cabinets – These are the boxes that make up a kitchen or bathroom. A kitchen, for example, might have 22 doors but only 11 cabinet boxes that the doors and drawers are hung on. Sometimes you need to open the doors and look at seams as what looks like one
cabinet is actually two joined together.

Edging – The cabinet boxes may need the color of the edges changed to match the new color of the doors. If the new doors will be the same or similar color to the old ones then you won’t need put color matching edge tape on the cabinets. If, however, the new doors will be a very different color then we highlrecommend edging the cabinets in a
matching color to give a seamless look.

Hinges – We supply soft close hinges that extend the life of the doors and cabinets. We strongly recommend changing the hinges so that the new doors may be aligned properly. Using old hinges, no matter how good, often results in doors hanging crooked.

There is no complementary ‘one time’ call back service for Refacing’s that use old hinges. The call back fee starts at a minimum of $175 for travel time and then is charged at $90 per hour.
